Canyonlands By Night & Day Presents a New Building

Canyonlands By Night and Day has completed its first phase of construction by presenting a new building on the bank of the Colorado River after beginning construction at the end of November.

The 4,000 sqare foot building is a new dining facility to replace an aging patio that did not offer enough control against changing weather conditions. “We needed a climate controlled dining facility for our guests, because Mother Nature was always throwing us some type of change,” said Preston Paxman, manager of Canyonlands By Night and Day. With the capability of seating 500 people and having a state-of-the-art kitchen, Canyonlands By Night and Day is very excited about the possibilities of various events that can be held in the new building.

The new mission style building also features an ice cream shop, coffee shop, a 40 foot observation tower, an expansive patio and a reflecting pool. “We hope people will come out and enjoy a coffee or ice cream next to the river. It’s a very unique atmosphere and we think people will enjoy it,” said Rachel Paxman, group sales specialist.

The company will continue to finish the landscaping throuhout the summer, but invites visitors and the residents of Moab out to see the new changes. You can contact Canyonlands by Night and Day at 259-5261 and be sure to mention you read about it in Moab Happenings.
