What is Classical Five Element Acupuncture?

Moab Acupncture Clinic Classical Five-Element Acupuncture is one of the safest, most comprehensive andfar-reaching systems of healing in the world. This system of acupuncture asserts that every human being is born with or develops an imbalance in the natural functioning of one of the five elements (fire, metal, water, earth, wood), early in life. This imbalance becomes the root cause of illness at all levels. Each of the elements corresponds to: Seasons, climates and specific organs or functions (Heart, Lungs, Kidneys, Spleen, Liver, etc). “When an element is imbalanced, so must the organs and functions residing within it become imbalanced”. Within a space of time, this primary imbalance will spread disharmony throughout the system and affect all other elements, as well as their corresponding organs and functions. Therefore, Classical Five-Element Acupuncture considers that any symptom can be the result of imbalance originating in any element, as they all are invariably connected and affected. Classical 5 Element Acupuncture is also used as a preventative medicine or in conjunction with other health modalities to strengthen the immune system and ease daily stress.

I Ching Acupuncture (Balance Method):
I Ching acupuncture is based on the most fundamental principle of I Ching and Taoist philosophy: Balance. I Ching acupuncture is the most effective and efficient way to resolve disease or pain by its stimulating effect to move Qi and Blood, which eliminates stagnation and creates normal energy flow so that the condition is resolved. The focus of I-Ching Acupuncture is the balance of Yin and Yang. I-Ching Acupuncture is unique in its ability to shift polarities.

NADA Protocol / auricular acupuncture: NADA protocol, a well known form of acupuncture used all over the world. The ear is a micro system of the body, and by needling certain points in the ear, results can be felt throughout the physical body, as well as the mind.

About the needles:
Acupuncture needles are not much thicker than a human hair. They are made of pre-sterilized, fine quality stainless steel. They are for single-use and are disposed of safely. Sensations vary among individuals, sometimes a person feels nothing at all, or perhaps a pinch or tingling sensation.

Herbal Medicines:
The customized herbal formulas treat the whole person rather than the individual symptoms. Most over-the-counter pre-formulated patent herbal products can only address physical ailments.

The intake of mineral, vegetable or animal substances in prescribed dosages, are used to prompt a desirable biological process or alter a pathological one. Dried, powdered, or liquid forms of the herbs are used while always striving for safe effective doses.

SHEN therapy
A precise, highly effective hands on emotional healing process, follows the laws of physics in applying the ‘Qi- energy’ to the body.

Chi Nei Tsang
Chi Nei Tsang literally means “working the energy of the internal organs” is a holistic approach to the “healing touch” modality of old Taoist Chinese origin. It integrates the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of our being. CNT goes to the very origin of health problems, including psychosomatic responses.
