Inspiration, Insight, Delight

Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Wisdom by Rita Marie Robinson, is a collection of intimate, heartfelt conversations with women spiritual teachers who live and look like ordinary people. They have kids, husbands, jobs, and bills to pay. What makes them extraordinary is that each woman has awakened to her true nature. And while that sounds like enlightenment, it doesn’t look like the old stereotype of transcendence, detachment, and bliss. Quite the contrary. This is the feminine half of the spiritual journey—bringing it down to earth and embracing all of what it means to be human.

These real life stories show by practical example what it means to be fully awake and fully engaged, to meet the world without resistance—even and especially when it’s not easy—whether it’s death, divorce or illness. The invitation is explicit…

If these ordinary women can be fully awake and fully human, why not me, why not you? And why not now.
-Excerpt from Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Wisdom

The resonance I felt reading this book was so profound because this is exactly what I’m passionate about in my life and in my work. From my own experience, I know we can see through conditioned tendencies and discover that which is alive in each of us, that which–by its nature–is whole, pure and at peace.

My approach is heart and soul-centered. It is about connecting, sharing, inspiring. I provide support in working through challenging life situations, conflict, pain and habitual tendencies.

We can meet pain and conflict with an open heart and kindness, without resistance and judgment. Everything can be seen in the light of awareness, and it all must be acknowledged to set it free. Neither denial nor indulgence will free you.

The strongest resonance I felt in reading the book was with the all embracing feminine aspect. That is to say, the feminine is NOT simply based on gender. Rather, the feminine is the willingness to embrace all that arises, bringing fullness and freshness to life. We all carry this aspect within us.

Instead of looking outside ourselves for fulfillment, we can instead turn inside to the wisdom of our heart. This is the beauty of such wisdom: It is already here inside each of us. It is our essence. It is who and what we really are. And it can easily be overlooked while we constantly search for this wisdom elsewhere. In the middle of turmoil, this peaceful place is always available. This is what I experience, and this is what I have to offer to you.

My work assists in recognizing and identifying old programming and habits, revealing that we have a choice. We can step out of that programming. We can drop it. What a shift!

Energy Work, Cranial-Sacral and Reiki are gentle, deeply relaxing techniques, balancing the flow of energy and supporting the body’s natural ability for self-regulation and self-healing. These techniques also support access to and work with cell memory, allowing us to discover how the past can influence our present reality. We can use the deeper wisdom of our body to see through conditioned tendencies. We can open up to greater fullness and freshness in this life.

My clients tell me they feel totally relaxed both physically and emotionally after we work together, more centered and grounded.

I invite you to see through conditioned tendencies and meet that which is alive in each of us, that which–by its nature–is whole, pure and at peace.

Walk out like someone
suddenly born into color.
Do it now.
