Whether your goal is to simply unwind or address a more serious problem,
I can work with you to achieve your health goals. I combine treatments
as needed, offer local and senior discounts, on-site seated chair massages
that are great for companies and parties. I have 10 years experience
and specialize in:
Spinal Touch Treatment, a soft tissue, non-force “body mechanics” alignment
offering postural muscular relaxation, add Tuina for a great healing
session.
Swedish & Deep Tissue Massage treating back pain, headaches, TMJ,
arthritis, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, injuries, insomnia, depression
and more. Massage reduces stress, increases blood circulation, lymph
function & oxygen levels.
Reiki is a warm, hands-on healing art that activates your body’s
own healing abilities and strengthens your life force.
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle form of energy work on the cerebrospinal
fluid that lubricates membranes between bone, brain and spinal cord,
correcting distortion and healing stress.
Aqua Chi Energy Spa balances and enhances your energetic levels. You
simply sit and relax with your feet in a water bath and what happens
is amazing! The benefits are increased energy, pain and stress relief
and detoxification.

Body Wisdom - Healing Massage
and Bodywork

With over 9 years of experience in massage and bodywork, I draw upon
the following techniques from which you can choose any combination: Deep
Tissue & Trigger Point Massage, Jin Shin Jyutsu Acupressure, Aromatherapy
and Flower Essences Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Reiki and Meditation
Instruction.
Jin Shin Jyutsu translates as “The Art of the Creator through the
Compassionate Human Being”. It is a form of acupressure and is
a simple yet powerful tool to harmonize our total being. An innate Art
of Living, it helps us awaken to the awareness of complete harmony within
the self and the universe.
This ancient body of wisdom was passed down by word of mouth from generation
to generation. Over time it fell into relative obscurity and was rediscovered
by Master Jiro Murai in Japan in the early 1900’s. After clearing
himself of a “terminal illness”, he devoted the rest of his
life to the research and development of this Healing Art. The resulting
knowledge of Jin Shin Jyutsu was then given to Mary Burmeister, a Japanese
American woman, who brought it to the United States in the 1950’s.
Jin Shin Jyutsu restores balance to our body’s energy, strengthening
our own healing capacity and releasing tensions that cause various physical
and emotional symptoms. It is a valuable compliment to conventional healing
methods, inducing relaxation and reducing the effects of stress.
Our bodies contain many energy pathways that help us to maintain health
and wellbeing. Energy can stagnate or become blocked along any of these
pathways resulting in fatigue, pain, and disease. These blockages can
be transformed by simply holding various “Safety Energy Locks” in
harmonious combinations. There are 26 safety energy locks located on
the surface of the body which are regarded as “built-in specialists”,
each with its own symbolic meaning and message. When unlocked, life energy
flow is restored throughout the body resulting in a greater sense of
overall health on many levels.
A typical session lasts about one hour, during which the receiver is
fully clothed, laying face up on a massage table. After “listening” to
the energy pulses at the receiver’s wrists, the practitioner uses
a series of gentle hand placements on the receiver’s body to harmonize
energy flow along various energy pathways.
Whether you want assistance to reduce the effects of tension accumulated
through normal daily living, address an existing health disharmony, or
simply want to actively maintain health and well being, Jin Shin Jyutsu
is a powerful tool.

Deep Tissue and Full Body Swedish Massage.
Breathwork, stretching and hydrotherapy will be integrated into your
session to free your stress, experience true relaxation and begin anew.
You will decide whether you are in need of intense work or pampering
yourself with a refreshing “fluff n’ buff”. Regardless,
your mind and body will be rid of deeply embedded knots as well as hidden
stress and tension.
Graduating with honors from an 800 hour professional licensing program
and an extensive background in holistic health have strengthened my understanding
and passion for the field of massage and bodywork. In addition, an opportunity
to work with Northwest Cancer Specialists in Vancouver, WA where massage
was offered to patients while undergoing treatments further deepened
my appreciation for how massage can better the well being of others.
Beginning a practice in the Healing Arts feeds my soul and fulfills a
life long dream. I strive to make each massage as enriching to my clients
as it is to me. It is fulfilling to see how my work can impact the lives
of others in a positive way and to contribute to the health of our community.
Perhaps the most inspiring aspect of my profession is how much potential
there is for life long learning and growth.
Ambrosia may be reached at 259-7792. Schedule your first massage before
