This exotic butter formula combines the pinon pitch and oils high in gamma-linolenic acid ( an essential fatty acid), making it an exeptionally nourishing formula. Owner Victoria White Eagle Noorlander is a Native herbalist, Reiki Usui and Karuna Teacher. Victoria uses her native training in sacred herbals to create a unique line of soaps, alcohol free lotions, massage oils, and healing salve. Victoria is known throughout Utah and Colorado for her healing salve, made from locally grown piñon pitch and natural ingredients, gathered by her family in the Moab area. It is a remedy that has been used by Native Americans for hundreds of years. The traditional way of making salve was to melt the piñon pitch with bear fat. When the Diné people started using sheep they would mix it with mutton fat or Vaseline bought from the local trading post.Today Victoria blends the pitch of native piñon trees with coconut oil and soy oils to make this natural healing salve more soothing to dry skin and so that it doesn’t clog pores. Piñon pitch is best known for its ability to accelerate cell regrowth and is effect in killing bacteria.
