Dime A Dozen Window Cleaning
by Krista Guss

You know when you meet someone and they immediately make you feel relaxed? Like there’s no pretense and whomever you are, is good with them. That’s what it was like for me when I first met Jesse Marshall. I just knew he was good people through and through.

Local business owner, Jesse Marshall Jr., is not new to the hard work required to make and keep a local business going. His father, Jesse Marshall Sr. started Coyote Shuttle in 1995. Seven years later, his uncle started Coyote Land Tours. Both institutions and pillars of the Moab Community.

Jesse also understands the importance of a stellar reputation predicated entirely on the quality of his work. “I started this business with literally a bucket and a bag o’ rags,” he says. For him, one of the most important days of his career life was when he got his business license. He knew he had big shoes to fill and a family to feed, so his trepidation made sense but only for a short while.

Here’s why: Anyone can see on the Dime A Dozen Window Cleaning facebook page that all of Jesse’s reviews are 5 star. Why is this? He replies, “We offer a complete window treatment. We start by clearing screens and cobwebs with a vacuum and end when everything sparkles. We can do any window and will beat any estimate.”

Jesse started as a rock-climber and translated those skills to his business purview. In fact, his first gig washing windows was in Jefferson City, MO cleaning downtown business windows. He realized how his love of and skills with recreational climbing could help him as an entrepreneur and small-business owner.

Now, he and his wife who operates in a critical internal education role at Moab Regional Hospital are settled for the long term in the Moab Community with their son Joshua who is the right hand man of the family business. Grateful for the opportunity to be here and do good work for their neighbors, friends, family and other members of their community. In addition, Jesse started a local remote control car club and gives remarkably life-like toy trucks as a giveaway at Christmas to kids. BombTown Crawler can be found on facebook and currently has 135 members. His goal for the long-term is to be able to create for the community a very positive legacy for its future and longevity like a gathering place allowing him to give back to all those who have worked together to make this community so great.

Until this point, Jesse’s business has been primarily word-of-mouth with a focus on private homes and nightly rentals. He sheepishly agreed to this article not wanting to toot his own horn. He realized though, especially in times of uncertainty and strangeness such as these, that it’s extremely important to know the people who live with us in our community and to generate a network of goodwill through friendliness, quality work and caring for one another. Jesse is a local guy who cares for his community.

So Moab Community, meet Jesse!
